Fans urged to order tickets online for region basketball tournament

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

Fans planning to attend the 3A North Region Basketball Tournament this week at North Valleys High School are being urged to order their tickets ahead of time online.

The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association said tickets will be sold using the NIAA online ticket platform Hometown Ticketing at https://www.niaa.com/tickets/index.

Fans are asked to park in the west parking lot for 3 p.m. games and the south parking lot for other games. They are also asked to sit either behind their team’s bench or straight across the court from their team’s bench.

The tournament begins at 3 p.m. Thursday, but both Fernley teams have a first-round bye and begin play Friday. The Fernley boys play at 4:4o p.m. Friday against the winner of Thursday’s game between Lowry and Fallon. The Fernley girls pay at 6:20 p.m. Friday against either Elko or Spring Creek. The girls championship is at noon Saturday, followed by the boys championship at 2 p.m.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
