Representatives from NV Energy were at Fernley High School Wednesday to present the check for $10,000 to the Fernley Music Boosters for winning its Power of Good Giveaway.
The Fernley Music Boosters were one of 145 Nevada youth nonprofits to participate in the contest, in which supporters voted for their favorite group.
