The Nevada Veterans Coalition will be holding the second annual Wreaths Across America Beauty and the Beast car wash in Fernley this Saturday, July 22 at the 76 Station on Main St.
The war wash starts at 8 a.m. and will run until 1 p.m., or when folks quit coming in. The guys will be dressed in a less than attractive manner and of course the gals will be beautiful as always!!!
Stop in and help us out for a great cause.
The laying of wreaths is the third Saturday in December at 9 a.m. With more than 7,600 veterans interred at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, it takes a lot of donations for us to say thank you to those veterans.
Wreaths start at $15 for one wreath and with every two wreaths we do receive a third one for free. We take a great deal of pride in being able to say every penny goes towards the purchase of a wreath, so even though we are a few months away, this our jump start.
If you want a little more info on what the wreaths are about you can go to nnvc.org, click on the wreath icon.

Comment text: Suzie was a wonderful woman. I was pleased to call her my "godmother" as she helped me to become a better version of myself. I think about her a lot.

The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city!

Comment text: Maybe there is more to this story than what is reported, but it seems to me that the businesses that are causing this problem ought to be paying for this, or at least a major portion of it. Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
