Smoke advisory issued for Fernley

The North Lyon County Fire Protection District has requested that the Lyon County Office of Emergency Management issue an advisory to the residents of Fernley.

The Truckee Fire is generating substantial smoke and has been and will continue to blanket the Fernley area. People with respiratory problems should stay indoors and out of the smoke. They should consult with their health care provider if they are having any ill effects from the smoke and should contact their medical/oxygen equipment supplier to ensure they have sufficient supplies for the next several days.
