Firefighters battling series of blazes

North Lyon County Fire Protection District firefighters have been busy battling a series of fires this evening, and the Lyon County Sheriff's Office is advising motorists to avoid the Inglewood Drive area of Fernley due to a fire.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Administrative Director Michael Carlson said North Lyon Fire and an engine from Storey County are battling a blaze reported at 7 Inglewood Drive, that appears to have been started by fireworks.

Motorists are asked to watch out for and yield to additional emergency vehicles entering the area, and stay away if they don’t live in the area.
