Pioneer Crossing Casino in Fernley unveils new remodel and expansion

Pioneer Crossing Casino in Fernley unveils new remodel and expansion
The Fernley Reporter

Since February of this year, Pioneer Crossing Casino in Fernley has been under construction, making significant improvements throughout the entire property.

The estimated $1 million dollar remodel comes on the heels of the Fernley casinos 12th anniversary.

CEO Mike Benjamin said the remodel has been in the works for some time.

“We’ve been working on this remodel and expansion for years and it feels great to finally see it all come together,” he said.

Benjamin went on to say the decision to make the investment now was partly due to the much anticipated growth in Fernley and the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center area.

The expansion and remodel includes additional square footage to the casino floor and gaming area, new carpet, a larger Players Club, a new Sports Bar & Lounge with a 14-screen video-wall. The expanded gaming area features new, state of the art, slots increasing the casinos slot capacity by 25 percent. The completely remodeled and re-branded Chuckwagon restaurant gets a new name, the Branding Iron Café & Steakhouse. The Café menu has been updated with additional local favorites and a new Steakhouse menu featuring California grown, Harris Ranch Angus Beef.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and festivities will be held Wednesday May 24, beginning at 3 p.m.

*Pioneer Crossing Casino owns and operates three casinos in Lyon County.  Fernley, Dayton and Yerington.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
