FIS and FHS students visit Northern Nevada Holocaust Education Conference

FIS and FHS students visit Northern Nevada Holocaust Education Conference
The Fernley Reporter

Earlier this week, on April 24, two Fernley High School teachers took eight students and seven Fernley Intermediate School teachers took 29 students to a presentation at the Atlantis Resort for a presentation featuring Holocaust survivors and World War II veterans.

The event was presented by the Governor’s Advisory Council on Education Relating to the Holocaust. The staff attended a training prior to the conference and each staff member was allowed four students for a night to collaborate with the survivors and veterans.
