Truck driver found dead at I-80 rest stop

Truck driver found dead at I-80 rest stop
Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

A truck driver was found dead in his truck Thursday afternoon at the Interstate 80 rest stop west of Wadsworth.

NHP Trooper Dan Gibson said NHP received a "check the welfare" call regarding a semi truck that had been idling since the early morning hours at the rest stop. Troopers attempted to make contact with the driver, who was in the sleeper berth. Troopers made entry inside and found an unconscious male. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

Gibson said the man possibly died from medical issues, but an autopsy will be performed.

The identity of the driver has not been released.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
