Fernley Senior Center Menu: Oct. 26 to 30

Fernley Senior Center, 105 Lois Lane, Fernley, Nevada. For information, call 775-575-3370.

Lunch is served Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Prices: $2 donation for those 60 and older; $7 fee for those under 60.

Monday, Oct. 26: Breaded chicken patty on a whole-wheat bun, lettuce, tomato, mayo, vegetable of the day, Mediterranean bean salad, applesauce, and 100% juice.

Tuesday, Oct. 27: Chicken in orange sauce, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, garden salad with French dressing, seven-grain bread, Smart Balance, peach yogurt, and peaches.

Wednesday, Oct. 28: Meatloaf, stuffing, gravy, mixed vegetable, lima beans, fruit of the day, and 100% juice.

Thursday, Oct. 29: Lemon baked fish, broccoli stuffed potato, steamed carrots, whole-wheat bread, Smart Balance, and honeydew melon.

Friday, Oct. 30: Closed for Nevada Day.

The current renovation has been- The Fernley Swimming Pool has been closed for approximately six to seven months since late February 2026 for a major roof replacement and facility renovation. Now you sat October. Soooo 8 months for a new roof. The picture shows no other renovations. It smells like sewage and it can be bad enough that people don’t want to be outside or open their windows. It would be helpful to get an investigative journalist help the Fernley residents get a clear answer from the City, NDEP, and any involved facilities. I was really disappointed that the smell was not disclosed by my realtor when I moved here. I enjoy Fernley and am seeing the improvements that are being made.
