North Lyon Fire personnel had an especially memorable call Sept. 21 when they helped welcome one of the community’s newest residents into the world.
Crews were called shortly after midnight for a mother in active labor. Not long after firefighters arrived, a healthy baby boy made his entrance.
North Lyon Fire personnel cared for the mother and baby before they were transported for additional evaluation and care. The department reported that the baby arrived healthy.
“For our personnel, there are few things more rewarding than being there for a family during such an important moment,” the department said.
North Lyon Fire wished the new baby and his family a lifetime of health, happiness and wonderful memories.
And for the firefighters on duty that night, it was one call they are unlikely to forget.
