Nighthawks claim first league win

The Silver Stage High School volleyball team claimed its first Northern 2A win of the season last Saturday, winning a back-and-forth battle over Coral Academy in five sets.

Silver Stage won the first, third and fifth sets to earn the win, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 15-25, 15-9.

Priscilla Hesselguesser had seven kills for the Nighthawks, Noelani Puaauli added five  and Brooke Lehman and Lauren Broughton each had four. Joselyn Fayaud and Robin Smith each made 11 digs and Smith added 21 assists.

This week the Nighthawks were scheduled to play at Oasis Academy on Wednesday. Saturday they travel to North Tahoe for a match at noon.

Now you sat October. Soooo 8 months for a new roof. The picture shows no other renovations. It smells like sewage and it can be bad enough that people don’t want to be outside or open their windows. It would be helpful to get an investigative journalist help the Fernley residents get a clear answer from the City, NDEP, and any involved facilities. I was really disappointed that the smell was not disclosed by my realtor when I moved here. I enjoy Fernley and am seeing the improvements that are being made.
