North Lyon County Fire Protection District is accepting applications for full-time firefighter positions as the district continues to build its fire and emergency medical services staff serving Fernley and the surrounding area.

Openings include firefighter/EMT, firefighter/advanced EMT and firefighter/paramedic positions, with salaries ranging from $60,541.44 to $96,652.13 depending on certification and experience.

Firefighter/paramedic positions pay between $78,723.77 and $96,652.13. Applicants must hold a current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification or Nevada EMS license.

North Lyon Fire describes itself as a growing combination fire and EMS organization with an emphasis on training, professional development and community service.

The district is accepting applications continuously, with upcoming testing scheduled for Oct. 3-4. Flexible testing dates may also be available upon request.

Applications are available online at NorthLyonFire.com or may be picked up at the district business office, 195 E. Main St. in Fernley.

North Lyon Fire serves Fernley and portions of northern Lyon County, responding to fires, medical emergencies and other calls for service throughout the district.
