The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest of a California murder suspect in Fernley on Aug. 24, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives identified Andres Ruiz Lindo, 19, as the primary suspect in an Aug. 4 gang-related homicide in Marin County, Calif. that left a rival gang member dead.
On Aug. 24, the Lyon County’s Special Investigations Unit and Novato detectives conducted surveillance in the 1300 Block of W. Newlands Drive. They saw Ruiz Lindo enter a vehicle in the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel and conducted a high-risk felony stop before the vehicle left the lot.
Ruiz Lindo was taken into without incident and booked into the Lyon County Jail on a charge of California Penal Code 187, felony murder, and is being held without bail.
