Nadine Ruth Oberg-Futch, of Fernley, Nevada, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, at age 94. She was born July 30, 1932, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Raymond and Helen Darlene King.

Mom will be remembered for her love of her family and friends. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed going camping with her son, Gary, and his wife, Dolores. Nadine loved the outdoors, and there wasn’t a rock she didn’t pick up and want to take home. Needless to say, she had a lot of rocks.

In addition to Gary and Dolores Oberg, she is survived by her daughter, Brenda Troupe, and her husband, Kevin; two granddaughters, Jaimee Oberg and Chrystal Oberg; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Johnny King. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Oberg, and her oldest son, Terry Oberg.

A celebration of her life will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Eugene, Oregon, on August 24, 2026, at 1 p.m.

One thing I’d double-check: her name is listed as Oberg-Futch, but the husband mentioned is James Oberg. That may be completely correct, but I’d verify whether there was a later marriage or whether “Futch” needs any explanation.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
