Nevada students invited to dream big in annual art contest

Nevada students invited to dream big in annual art contest

Young Nevada artists are being invited to put their future plans on paper as part of the sixth annual “What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?” Art Contest.

The contest, sponsored through Nevada’s college savings program, is open to students in pre-K through 12th grade. Entries will be accepted from Aug. 10 through Oct. 9.

Students are asked to use their artistic skills and imagination to illustrate what they hope to become when they grow up.

Three winners will be selected at each grade level. First-place winners will receive $1,000 deposited into a 529 college savings account, second-place winners will receive $500 and third-place winners will receive $250.

Teachers have a chance to win, too. The teacher with the most eligible student submissions will receive a $200 gift card.

Contest rules, eligibility information and entry details are available at https://nvigate.gov/contest/.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
