The City of Fernley and the Nevada Department of Transportation will host a community meeting Thursday, Aug. 13, to gather public feedback on proposed improvements along three of Fernley’s primary transportation corridors.
The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Community Response and Resource Center, 695 E. Main St. A brief presentation by the study team will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting is part of the Fernley Corridor Action Plan, a long-range transportation study being conducted by the city in collaboration with NDOT.
The plan is intended to identify phased improvements over the next 20 years to support future growth, reduce traffic delays, improve mobility and connectivity, and increase safety.
The study focuses on Main Street, Farm District Road and U.S. Highway 95A between Main Street and Fernley High School.
Residents, business owners and other community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions and provide feedback on the proposed recommendations before the plan is finalized.
