Local families will have a chance to find bargains while supporting a new ministry for mothers during the Fernley MomCo Community Yard Sale on Saturday.
The fundraiser will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Summit Church Fernley's Base Camp, 150 E. Main St., with proceeds helping fund childcare for the organization's upcoming meetings.
Fernley MomCo is a new Christ-centered ministry launching this fall through Summit Church Fernley. The group is designed to provide friendship, encouragement, and support for mothers in every season of motherhood through meaningful relationships, mentorship, and opportunities to grow in faith together.
Organizers said the yard sale will feature donated items from local families and community members, with all proceeds going toward making the program more accessible by helping cover the cost of quality childcare during meetings. Community members who would like to support the effort are also welcome to donate items for the sale.
The fundraiser is being coordinated by Victoria Olivier and Abigail Knudsen, along with the Fernley MomCo leadership team and volunteers from Summit Church.
Registration is now open for moms interested in joining the new group. Organizers say mothers of all ages and stages are welcome, whether they are raising newborns, school-age children, or teenagers.
