The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Fernley man Sunday after deputies said he failed to update his sex offender registration as required by Nevada law.
Deputies with the LCSO Sex Offender Task Force went to a residence in the 3400 block of Drayer Lane at about 7:45 a.m. June 7 to investigate information that 41-year-old Kyle Marcelino Landa was living at an address not listed in his registration records.
After contacting Landa, deputies determined he had moved from his registered address and had not updated his information within the required timeframe.
Investigators said Landa had been staying at the Drayer Lane residence for about two weeks without reporting the change.
He was taken into custody and booked into the Lyon County Jail on one felony count of violating sex offender registration requirements under NRS 179D.550.
