Huffman to speak on Convention of States at Jan. 20 FRW meeting

Terri Huffman, Convention of States Nevada State Director, will be the guest speaker for the next meeting of The Fernley Republican Women (FRW) on Jan. 20 at the Fernley Senior Center, 105 Lois Lane.

A light meal will be served at 6 p.m., and the meeting will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Huffman will be speaking in support of a Convention of States. The public is always invited to attend, but they ask that you RSVP to Katie Baker at [email protected].

Recruited into politics at the age of 17, Huffman began as a Young Democrat but became a Republican by 18, casting her first vote for Richard Nixon. She spent 44 years in the aerospace industry, beginning her career as a painter and retiring as a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Huffman and her husband relocated to Nevada from Arizona in 2020. She currently serves on the boards of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee and Douglas County Republican Women and is a member of the Douglas County Audit Committee. She joined Convention of States in 2021 and was asked to serve as Nevada State Director in 2024.

I grew up in Fernley and would be interested to see how many answers I know. The coin is beautiful. Congrats on 25 years as a city! Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
