City to host 11th annual Chanukah Menorah lighting Dec. 15

The city of Fernley will host the 11th annual Chanukah Menorah Lighting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 in front of City Hall.

Chanukah, also known as the Festival of Lights, commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem and is celebrated with nightly menorah lightings.

The event will celebrate the Festival of Lights with traditional Chanukah food such as doughnuts and latkes, plus festive music and the traditional lighting of the Menorah.

The timing aligns with the second night of Chanukah, which begins at sundown on Sunday, Dec. 14 and lasts eight nights, ending at sundown on Monday, Dec. 22.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
