Lyon County to hold groundbreaking ceremony for Charles J. Kirk Government Complex in Dayton

Lyon County to hold groundbreaking ceremony for Charles J. Kirk Government Complex in Dayton

The Lyon County Commission will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, Nov. 13, to mark the start of construction on the Charles J. Kirk Lyon County Government Complex in Dayton.

The ceremony will take place at 103 Three Crossing Ave. and will include brief remarks from county officials, along with representatives from CORE Construction and developer Project One, which is behind the Traditions project in Dayton.

The new facility will house the Dayton Justice Court, the District Attorney’s Dayton Office, the Human Services Dayton Office, and the Sheriff’s Office Dayton Substation.

In September, the County Commission voted to name the building after Charlie Kirk, a conservative influencer who was killed during a speaking engagement in Utah.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
