The Lyon County Commission will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 13 to
commemorate the official start of construction for the Charles J. Kirk Lyon County Government
Complex in Dayton.
The ceremony will be held at 103 Three Crossing Ave. It will include brief remarks from county
officials as well as representatives of CORE Construction and developer Project One, which is
working on the Traditions project in Dayton.
This facility will be the future site of the Dayton Justice Court, District Attorney’s Dayton
Office, Human Services Dayton Office, and Sheriff’s Office Dayton Substation.
The County Commission voted in September to name the building after Charlie Kirk, a
conservative influencer who was murdered during a speaking engagement in Utah.
