LCSO K9 Blady wins Top Dog for third straight year at Regional K9 Challenge

For the third straight year, Lyon County Sheriff’s K9 Blady and his handler Sgt. Matt Galvin 

took the Top Dog award in the 4th Annual Regional K9 Unit Challenge Oct. 11 in Carson City. 

More than 30 K9 teams from agencies around Northern Nevada competed in four events 

centered around the primary duties they perform in the field.  

In addition to winning Top Dog, K9 Blady and Sgt. Galvin also won second place in agility 

course and third place in patrol scenario.
