Fernley Republican Women to meet Oct. 21

The Fernley Republican Women will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at the Fernley Senior Center, 105 Lois Lane. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m., with the meeting starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. Guest Speaker: Shawn Meehan, Founder of Guard the Constitution, will discuss “Why the Nevada GOP is Against the Article V Convention.” Meehan has studied the U.S. Constitution extensively and helped pass Nevada Senate Joint Resolution 10 in 2017, rescinding 10 pending Article V convention resolutions.
Fernley Republican Women to meet Oct. 21

The Fernley Republican Women (FRW) will hold its next meeting at the Fernley Senior Center, 105 Lois Lane, 

on Oct. 21. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. 

The guest speaker will be Shawn Meehan, Founder, Guard the Constitution, speaking on “Why the Nevada 

GOP is Against the Article V Convention.”  

The public is always invited to attend but anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP to Katie Baker at 

[email protected]. 

For more than a decade, Meehan has studied the U.S. Constitution in depth, specializing in Article V. In 2017, 

he authored and helped pass Nevada Senate Joint Resolution 10—receiving four unanimous votes—to rescind 

10 pending Article V convention resolutions. Working alongside national constitutional scholars, he educates 

state legislators on the Constitution’s original meaning and safeguards. His platform, Guard the Constitution, 

stands at the intersection of conservative news, debate, and proven grassroots activism.
