SilverSummit Healthplan to host free ‘Family Fall Festival’ on Oct. 22

SilverSummit Healthplan is hosting a free Family Fall Festival on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 4–7 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, 695 E. Main St., Fernley. The event celebrates the expansion of Medicaid coverage into rural Nevada and offers fun for all ages, including raffles with bikes and gift cards, a Halloween costume contest, airbrush artists, local vendors, and free food and treats. Families can also learn about new health benefits and services now available in Fernley.
SilverSummit Healthplan to host free ‘Family Fall Festival’ on Oct. 22

SilverSummit Healthplan is hosting a free Family Fall Festival on Oct. 22 in Fernley to celebrate 

the recent expansion of Medicaid coverage into rural counties in Nevada. The event is designed 

to connect residents with valuable health resources and educate families about new benefits and 

services now available in Fernley. 

The festival will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Boys and Girls Club of 

Truckee Meadows at 695 E. Main St. 

Open to community members of all ages, the festival will feature exciting raffle prizes, including 

brand-new bicycles with helmets and gift cards, along with a Halloween costume contest, 

airbrush artists creating custom T-shirts and hats, local vendors, and complimentary food and 

treats provided by SilverSummit Healthplan. 

Through this event, SilverSummit Healthplan aims to raise awareness about its Medicaid 

coverage, highlight new benefits for eligible Nevadans, and strengthen its commitment to 

improving access to quality healthcare in Nevada.
