Bestselling author to speak on career pathways at FHS

Bestselling author to speak on career pathways at FHS

The Lyon County School District will host best-selling author Mark Perna for a presentation intended to guide students in their education and career journey.

The presentation is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Fernley High School. All parents and community members are invited to attend the free event.

Perna is an acclaimed speaker, author and CEO. He is the founder of Education with Purpose and Employment with Passion, to connect the pipelines between education, employment and economic development. His book Answering Why: Unleashing Passion, Purpose, and Performance in Younger Generations is a bestseller that has won eight national awards, including the Nautilus Book Award.

He is also a weekly contributor at Forbes.com, where he has written more than 300 articles, and is a frequent podcast, radio and TV guest.

In his presentation in Fernley, Perna will speak on how to spark meaningful conversations about your child’s life and career goals; help the build a personal competitive advantage that sets them up for success and inspire the next generation to think constructively about their future and take action with purpose.
