The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows Serving Fernley will honor its members of the year at its Annual Awards Banquet on Thursday, Oct. 2 at the Community Response and Resource Center. The Club will also honor a community leader as its with its Distinguished Service Award and present its Volunteer of the Year Award.
The highlight of the banquet is the presentation of the Youth of the Year Award. The Youth of the Year award is the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s signature effort to foster a new generation of leaders, fully prepared to live and lead in a diverse, global and integrated world economy. It is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club youth can achieve.
The event begins with cocktails at 5 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards presentations at 6 p.m.
