Teen riding dirt bike killed in Stagecoach crash

A teenage boy riding a dirt bike was killed when he was hit by a van while trying to cross U.S. 

50 near Scenic Avenue in Stagecoach Sunday afternoon. 

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the van was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 

approaching Scenic Avenue when it hit the dirt bike. The rider was attempting to enter U.S. 50 

from Scenic Avenue. 

The rider of the dirt bike was pronounced dead on scene by medical personnel. 

NHP did not release the name of the teen.
