Linda Elaine Jackson

Linda Elaine Jackson

Linda Elaine Jackson, 79, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Salem, Utah. Born December 10, 1945 in Tacoma, Washington to Perry and Edith Reese, Elaine was the youngest of three siblings and the apple of her daddy’s eye.

Elaine attended Brigham Young University, studying elementary education and music. She was active with the opera workshop and kept a lifelong love of singing and music. She could fill a room with her voice, a talent that aided her in her career as a teacher.

A long time resident of Fernley, Nevada, Elaine taught elementary school for Lyon County School District. Teaching and entertaining was her passion, which has been carried on by her grandchildren. She is often remembered for staying up late at night crafting a costume for the next day’s festivities or working throughout the weekend in her classroom creating something new that would bring joy to her students.

She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy (and his wife Brooke) and Gary (and his wife Naomi), and six grandchildren: Michelle, Lena, Annie, Peri, Cora, and Rory. She is held in fond memory by many who knew her as Aunt Elaine or “Grandma”.

Elaine will be remembered as a caring teacher; loving mother; fund grandma; and generous and compassionate woman. Her bright spirit and creativity will be missed by all who knew her.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
