Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three people on July 16 following an investigation into reports of fraud and mail theft in Dayton and Stagecoach.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation began after deputies received a report of fraudulent bank activity from a victim who lives outside of Lyon County. The victim reported multiple unauthorized transactions totaling more than $6,000 withdrawn from their bank account.
Around the same time, residents in Stagecoach reported missing mail from mailboxes in their neighborhood. The Sheriff’s Office said that with the cooperation of victims, banking documentation and video surveillance footage, they were able to identify suspects in both the fraudulent financial activity and mail theft.
On July 16, members of the LCSO Investigations Division, Major Crimes and Special Investigations Units executed a search warrant at a home in Stagecoach. During the search, deputies found evidence that they said substantiates the charges of mail theft and fraud in both Stagecoach and Dayton.
Solana Hughes-Dickson was arrested on charges of use of identifying information causing harm and conspiracy to commit fraud. Bail was set at $102,500.
Joshua Daniel Schultz was arrested on charges of mail theft and conspiracy to defraud another. Bail was set at $7,500.
Tiffany Ann Monson was arrested on charges of mail theft, conspiracy to defraud another and obtaining and using personal identity information of another for unlawful purposes. Bail was set at $32,500.
