Commissioners approve reimbursement agreement for evaluation of GID for NNIC

The Lyon County Commission approved a reimbursement agreement with NV-Reno Industrial 

LLC, North-Lyon LLC, and Ramsey LLC to reimburse the county for the costs of outside legal 

and engineering review for the evaluation and possible initiation and formation of the North 

Lyon County Power District. 

At its previous meeting on June 18, the Commission agreed to consider the formation of a 

general improvement district to bring power to the Northern Nevada Industrial Center (NNIC), a 

20,000 acre industrial development along USA Parkway north of Silver Springs. 

Under the agreement, the developer, NV-Reno Industrial LLC, will reimburse the county for 

reasonable costs associated with outside legal and engineering review for the evaluation and 

possible initiation and formation of the North Lyon County Power District. The county will hire 

the necessary outside legal counsel and engineering services it deems necessary to perform 

proper due diligence on the formation and operation of the North Lyon County Power District. 

Developer shall promptly reimburse the county for reasonable costs it incurs, not to exceed 

$20,000.
