Pyramid Lake Tribe Hosts Powwow This Weekend

The 14th annual Sacred Visions Pow-Wow will be held this weekend at the Big 

Bend Ranch in Wadsworth. Admission is free. 

The pow-wow will open Friday at 6 a.m. with a Sunrise Ceremony. The grand 

entry is scheduled for 7 p.m., with additional grand entries on Saturday at noon and 

7 p.m., and on Sunday at noon.  

The Duck Valley Singers from Owyhee, NV will be the host drummers, the master 

of ceremonies is Gary Watson from Ft. Hall, ID, and the arena director is Art 

Martinez from Carson City. 

The event will feature Native American crafts, a buckskin contest, drum contest 

(with a monetary prize!), and a royalty contest. 

This event is sponsored by the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, Pyramid Lake Veterans 

& Warriors Organization, the Pyramid Lake Tribal Health Clinic and volunteers.
