Fernley Chapter of RPEN to meet July 9

Read below to learn more about the Fernley Chapter of RPEN!!!

The Fernley Chapter of RPEN, the Retired Public Employees of Nevada, will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9 at the Fernley Senior Center, 105 Lois Lane.

There will be a presentation about the latest session of the Nevada State Legislature and about how RPEN has worked for nearly 50 years to protect the pension and healthcare benefits for public employee receiving or looking to receive their pension from the Nevada Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS). RPEN follows all of the PERS and PEBP (Public Employees’ Benefits Program) meetings as well as the Nevada Legislature when it is in session every two years.

You don’t have to be retired to join RPEN, as long as you’ve earned five years in PERS or are 50 years or older; you can join while you’re still working. RPEN is working to protect the pensions of public employees who are still working or who have retired.

For more information, call Jim Hardie at 775-722-5273.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
