Shadow Lane project

Work on the Shadow Lane reconstruction project, which began in November, is winding down and expected to be complete by the end of this month. 

City Engineer Maria Paz Fernandez said Tuesday morning that most of the paving is complete the final lift of asphalt, or the top layer, was scheduled to for Tuesday. That left striping and signage installation, completion of any remaining concrete work such as Americans with Disability Act accessibility ramps or driveways, and cleanup and punch list work to finish. 

The $5.4 million project included the reconstruction of Shadow Lane between Farm District Rd. and U.S. 95A as well as the sewer and water line improvements, installation of curb, gutter and sidewalks and ADA accessibility improvements.
