Aaron and Michelle Wilson have only heard stories of how the former Pizza Shack on Main St. was a hub of community activity. It’s an atmosphere they hope to bring back, and they started in that direction with a weekend full of festivities to celebrate the grand opening of their All Points Bar & Grill in the Pizza Shack building.

After a month-long soft opening, All Points Bar & Grill celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and the debut of their full menu last Friday. In addition, the celebration included a car show, live music, cornhole and horseshoe tournaments and karaoke.

“Even though we’ve been going for a month with our soft opening, it’s still a big deal to have a grand opening,” Aaron Wilson said.

The process to get the building up to current codes took several years of work by owners Michelle and Kim Barney, flowed by several months of preparation by the Wilsons, who had been operating All Points Grill on West Main Street. Wilson admitted to moments when he doubted the move to the new location would ever happen.

“After 11 months of working and getting open, it’s a relief, but at the same time, now the pressure is on,” he said. “Now we’ve got to prove that we were worth all the hard work to get this place open.”
