Volunteers needed Monday to help unload wreaths at Veterans Memorial Cemetery
Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The Nevada Veterans Coalition is looking for volunteers to help unload the boxes of wreaths in preparation for Wreaths Across America.

The Wreaths are scheduled to arrive at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9. The trucks bringing the wreaths will be escorted from the Walmart Distribution Center on USA Parkway by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Pickup trucks or trailers are also needed to help move the boxes to the staging areas inside the cemetery.

The trucks will pull into the parking area on the left side before the entrance to the cemetery, so please leave the area open so the trucks can get in.

Wreaths Across America will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at the cemetery.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
