Well, it’s over, thank God! For many, they think it really is over. I mean, no more campaign crap in the mailbox. Ahhhhh!! Don’t you wish we could click a button and say, “I don’t want your rubbish in the mail anymore please!” “I know who I’m voting for already!” Or “I’ve already voted!” By the way, my thoughts, the media are the real losers this time and you know what I mean.
Let’s get started. I was wrong on several predictions I made last month, and the big one was defending the electoral college. Though it may come up later, I kind of doubt it. You see, I never saw the popular vote thing, and many did not. Trump, as the votes were being counted, not only won the popular, but something also happened that hadn’t been done since Bush 43, and now we know that the margin of how many votes Trump won by has not been done in 100 years. So bottom line, electoral college is safe.
Now, this opens up a whole new bit of entertainment as we move forward. Trump is announcing his cabinet nominations now so the Republicans can do some off the record vetting, per se, in case there are political concerns with Republican senators, and trust me, there will be some buyer’s remorse, or should I say senators concerned about 2026.
My column is called “A Republic if You Can Keep It” as the Republicans clinch the number of House members required to have the majority and all three branches are red. I’m yelling as loud as I can “HEY REPUBLICANS YOU HAVE A REPUBLIC, CAN YOU KEEP IT?” Why do you say? We’ve been here before and simply put Republicans choke, big time.
Republicans, based on past experience, have gotten to this point and start worrying about their next election, and the Democrats will flood the media waves with anti-Democracy statements. You watch, it’s already happening. Oh, by the way, we’re not a Democracy, maybe we talk about that next month.
I like Matt Gaetz for AG, but wow!! He will be the most controversial candidate not only for AG position but for all the cabinet positions. Maybe he will be the golden calf that is destroyed, and the Republicans can have the sacrifice, who knows. We’ll see. Most entertaining though is how evil there making RFK Jr. out to be for trying to make America healthier, you know he looks pretty good for an old guy. Oh and “he’s an anti vaxxer.” Not true at all.
Most hilarious is how some of the Dems still are doubling down on their Trump’s a Hitler, fascist, dictator, end of Democracy bs. You see America, all 76 million voters said enough on November 5 and spoke saying no more identity politics. They said while you were ramming DEI down the Pentagon’s throats, the people said we’re tired of conflicts erupting all over the world, while the whole time the current administration was saying “don’t do it, don’t do it”. The people said we’re tired of you ignoring that our sons and daughters dying at the hands of illegals entering our country while they kept telling us the border is secure.
And while they were telling us it’s OK, your wages are all up, we were paying record high grocery prices and energy prices. In my whole life I’ve never seen the Democrats so out of touch with reality, not to mention they threw the democratic process out the door by self-anointing a poor candidate, and the media was complicit the whole time. Bottom line, the Democrats earned this one.
Our own State race was kind of weird. Sam Brown, not too much of a surprise, I think the carpetbagger thing doomed him more than anything. The ballot questions are puzzling to me. Question #7 requiring photo I.D. to vote, passed by a huge margin, 73.23%, no surprise. Question #6, to make abortion a State Constitutional Right passed, big margin 64.36%, and if passes again in 2026 could mean taxpayers have to pay for abortions. But we said no tax on diapers in Question #5, so where is that loss in revenue going to be made up?
Happy Thanksgiving and God bless!
