Nami Walk scheduled Oct. 12 at Out of Town Park
Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Western Nevada (NAMI) will be hosting its second annual NAMI Walk from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Out of Town Park,

The walk is designed to promote public awareness of mental health, raise funds for NAMI's free, top-rated mental health programs and build the local mental health community.

Registration to participate as a walker is free and individuals or teams can do so at http://www.namiwalks.org/wnv.

Once an individual or a team is registered, they can start fundraising through the website. Each individual who raises $100 or more will receive a NAMIWalks shirt.

This year’s walk will include food trucks, kids’ activities, a resource fair and a DJ. Dogs are welcome on a leash.

NAMI is still looking for resource tables, sponsorships, and walkers to register.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
