John Cassinelli announces candidacy for Lyon County Commission

John Cassinelli, a fifth-generation Northern Nevadan and local businessman, announced Tuesday his candidacy for the Lyon County Commission, District 1.

Cassinelli is President/CEO of Cassinelli Landscaping & Construction Inc. He has served on the Lyon County Planning Commission and various leadership roles within the community..

Cassinelli says he will advocate for preserving Lyon County's rural identity, supporting law enforcement for safer communities, requiring managed growth in line with community master plans, and ensuring election security. A Conservative Republican, Cassinelli says he will ensure responsible government practices that safeguard citizens' rights and foster sustainable development.

"I am deeply invested in Lyon County's future," Cassinelli stated. "My extensive experience in business, community service, and local government equips me with the unique insights needed to guide our county through the challenges and opportunities ahead. I am ready to serve and ensure our community's values and way of life are preserved for generations to come."
