The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information to help find the person who vandalized 12 homes and 17 vehicles in a neighborhood near the golf course.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 8:08 a.m. Dec. 3 to a home on Desert Lakes Drive for a property damage report. When they arrived, the deputies discovered that someone had vandalized a total of 12 homes and 17 vehicles sometime between the hours of 1:15 and 8 a.m. on Desert Lakes Drive, Putter Ct., Tee Ct., Golf Ct. and Dixie Lane.

The suspect used light blue graffiti spray paint to mark garage doors and vehicles with various messages, which is not believed to be gang-related. The suspect also left deep scratches on the body of several vehicles with an unknown item. The estimated amount of reported damages is approximately $55,700.

Anyone with information regarding the vandalism is urged to contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at (775) 463-6600.

Residents are asked to check their Ring cameras and other surveillance system for any activity between those times.

Callers may also remain anonymous by contacting Secret Witness at https://secretwitness.com / or by text or phone at (775)322-4900.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
