Ramos, Edge honored as Boys & Girls Club Youths of the Year

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows Serving Fernley honored Araceli Ramos and Anna Edge as its Youths of the Year at its second annual Fernley Awards Banquet on Oct. 5 at The Meadows Event Center.

The Club also honored several Members of the Year in three different categories from each of the four sites and presented the Distinguished Service Award to Cody Wagner.

The Youth of the Year awards is the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s signature effort to foster a new generation of leaders, fully prepared to live and lead in a diverse, global and integrated world economy. It is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club youth can achieve.

Ramos is a junior at Fernley High School who aspires to be a labor and delivery nurse. Edge is a senior at Fernley High School who plans a career in marketing.
