Fernley man charged with stealing from company at TRIC

A Fernley man was arrested May 16 by the Storey County Sheriff's Office after an investigation into theft from a company at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.

According to the Storey County Sheriff's Office, on May 16, Storey County deputies were made aware of an arrest warrant issued out of Virginia Township Justice Court. They served the arrest warrant in the TRIC area of the county on Timothy McDowell, 48, of Fernley, and he was booked into Storey County Detention Center.

McDowell was charged with theft amounting to nearly $80,000 of product from a company at the TRIC. This was a three-month investigation that involved agencies nationwide.
