Lyon County Sheriff’s deputy Michael McCullough and Lyon County emergency manager Taylor Allison were each presented with awards at the National Alliance on Mental Illness Western Nevada Unmasked Gala on May 12.

Deputy McCullough was presented with the Crisis Intervention Office of the Year award for his actions when dealing with persons in a mental health crisis.

“We are very proud of Deputy McCullough's accomplishments,” The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post announcing the awards.

Allison received the Western Nevada Leadership Award for her dedication and leadership during her years of service to NAMI Western Nevada.

“We are proud to work closely with Ms. Allison everyday,” the Sheriff’s Office said in its announcement.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
