Sheriff’s Office renews calls for help in finding missing Dayton man

Sheriff’s Office renews calls for help in finding missing Dayton man

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is again asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Dayton man.

On October 3, Richard Shifflet left for a walk and has not been seen by family members since. Lyon County Search and Rescue searched the area where Shifflet was last seen and areas where he was reported to frequent. Search and Rescue has been searching since that time with no signs of him. There are no signs of foul play at this time.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is, again, asking the public’s assistance in finding Shifflet. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and possibly a black t-shirt. He is a 75 year old white male, 5’6” tall; around 174 pound with blonde hair (balding) and blue eyes.

Anyone seeing Shifflet or know his whereabouts is asked to contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at 775-463-6600 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
