Sheriff’s Office denies rumors of Driver’s suicide

Sheriff’s Office denies rumors of Driver’s suicide

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release Tuesday morning refuting a social media rumor that Troy Driver committed suicide in the Lyon County jail.

The statement released by the LCSO reads: “On August 30, 2022, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office became aware of information being shared via social media. The information being shared insinuated that Troy Driver had committed suicide in the Lyon County Jail. This information is false. Troy Driver is still incarcerated in the Lyon County Jail, is alive and is awaiting his next court date.”

The Sheriff’s Office did not confirm or deny whether Driver attempted suicide.

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.
