First Fernley Junior Golf session wraps up

The first of three sessions of the Golf Club at Fernley’s Junior Golf Clinic wrapped up Thursday, June 23.

Classes run for two weeks in June, July and August. The June class wrapped up Thursday with a version of a putting contest for the younger group and a two-hole tournament on the course for the older age group.

 

Both were followed by a provided barbecue burger lunch, certificate/photo presentations and an award presentation for the winners of the competition.

The second session will fun July 12-21, with a third

session August 2-11, with classes held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Ages 7-10 meet from 9-10 a.m., and ages 11-17 from 10-11 a.m.

Two groups of young golfers recently finished the first session of the Golf Club at Fernely’s Junior Golf Clinic.


The cost is $20 per student, which includes five lessons, a tournament and a barbecue.
