County issues notice of error on mailed ballots

The Lyon County Clerk-Treasurer’s Offices on Friday issued a notice that there was an error on the Primary Election ballots that were mailed out.

The Lyon County School Board District 4 and District 7 races should not have been on the Primary ballot. These races should have gone straight to the General Election.

In the District 4 race, Tom Hendrix is running against incumbent Barbara Jones, while in District 7 candidates are Neal McIntyre II and Mike Hogan.

Neither race will be counted or reported in the primary.
