The pre-trial hearing set for Tuesday and the preliminary hearing scheduled April 12 in Canal Township Justice Court for the man charged with killing Naomi Irion have both been rescheduled for May 10.
Stipulations to continue for both hearings were submitted to the court Monday, signed by both Mario Walther, the Lyon County Public Defender representing Troy Driver, and Lyon County Deputy District Attorney Brian Haslem. Under those stipulations, the pre-trial hearing is continued to May 10, while the preliminary hearing will instead be set as a status hearing on May 10.
Justice Court Judge Lori Matheus signed the order to continue on both stipulations.
Driver was originally charged with kidnapping, but after Irion’s body was found and identified, charges of open murder with use of a deadly weapon, burglary, robbery and destruction of evidence were added.
