Naomi Irion investigation: New search scheduled Saturday
Investigators are still looking for this truck they believe the suspect in the kidnapping of Naomi Irion may have been driving.

Robert Perea, The Fernley Reporter

A new community search for Naomi Irion or any evidence into her kidnapping is scheduled for this Saturday.

Volunteers are asked to meet up at 10 a.m. in the west parking lot behind Love’s Travel Stop. This will be the first of a few areas for concentrated search.

Volunteers are also asked to follow these guidelines

1. This will be a on foot search only.

2. Open carry is fine but please no rifles.

3. Please no ATV/UTV.

4. No pets.

5. No children.

EMT/CPR volunteers with certifications to be verified and medical bags are needed, as well as group leaders with military or Search & Rescue experience.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office continues to look for the pickup that detectives the suspect may have been driving. The pickup is a 2021 or 2022 Chevrolet 2500 or 3500 High Country 4 x 4 short bed crew. It appears to be dark blue in color and possibly be black and maybe even another dark color. It has chrome door handles and a sliding rear window, which are both pretty unique for this type of truck.

The truck would look similar to the examples below:

Why does the County have to pay the whole bill? Just my opinion.Comment publication date: 5/7/26, 10:26 AMComment source: Storey County, Tesla partner to extend I-80 Patrick on-rampComment author: Alan ReederComment text: Great guy, laughed easily, had fun with his students, enjoyed our time together at FHS!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 10:23 PMComment source: Howard David JacksonComment author: Jack & Nancy CookComment text: Wonderful man.
