STAFF REPORTS

6.1.

Discussion and Possible Action to approve the contract with Aerotek, Inc to assist with recruitment for Water Treatment Plant Chief Operator.

The City staff is requesting approval for the contract services with AEROTEK, Inc to assist in the recruitment process for the Water Treatment Plant Chief Operator. The current employee submitted his resignation on June 29, 2021 to be effective December 31, 2021. The City has recruited for a replacement since June of 2021 with no success. The position has been advertised on the City Website and social media pages, Indeed, Nevada Rural Water Association, and BCWaterjobs.com. The City has extended two offers to individuals out of state which were declined. The reason given was both decided it was not the time to move their family. The current Chief has extended his retirement date to March 31. 2021. Due to the critical nature of this position, the City feels it is necessary to take this step to use a professional service to find and hire a replacement Chief WTP operator.
