Newsmakers ends 13-year run at News-4 in Reno

Newsmakers ends 13-year run at News-4 in Reno
November 18, 2016 - By Ray Hagar, Nevada Newsmakers

After a 13-year run on KRNV-TV, KSNV-TV, The CW-TV and KENV-TV, Nevada Newsmakers and Sinclair Broadcasting have decided to end their joint broadcast as of this week.

Nevada Newsmakers Host and owner Sam Shad said: “This has been a great arrangement and we appreciate all that Sinclair Broadcasting and Intermountain West have brought to the table over the years. 13 years is a long run in TV world.
We will be continuing to air new editions of the program on line and with our 14-year partner KKOH Reno while exploring next options for televising the program.

Our plan is to be back on television in time for the 2017 Legislative session.”

The break up with Sinclair Broadcasting has been amicable.

Sam Shad Productions will continue to air The Dining Show on KRNV-TV for the foreseeable future. Sam Shad Productions will also continue our very productive relationship with Sinclair Broadcasting through our advertising agency.

Veteran Nevadan Journalist Ray Hagar is known for fair and tough reporting and invigorating commentary.

Going forward Nevada Newsmakers will continue to air four new programs each week.

Nevada Newsmakers can be heard on KKOH Reno Newstalk 780 AM Sundays 7am to 9am. Current programs and a ten-year archive are available at NevadaNewsmakers.com.

For Podcasts search ITunes for Nevada Newsmakers.

New programs will be available on line Thursday’s and Fridays each week beginning December 1st 2016.
